Certification

Certification is the end of the formal program — the page where staff review completion, issue the certificate, and move the person to alumni.

The top panel lists every active enrollment whose completion row says all three conditions are met:

  • Intensives attended ≥ intensives required
  • Assignments accepted ≥ assignments required
  • Payments overdue = 0

The completion row is a live calculation — it reads attendance, submissions and payments against the cohort’s requirements every time the page opens. Nothing on this page is stored in advance.

Each candidate has one button: Issue certificate. Pressing it:

  1. Creates a certificate row with a readable verification code of the form ABCD-EFGH-JKLM.
  2. Writes a certified interaction to the Timeline.
  3. Shows the certificate under Issued, with a link to the public verification page.

A list of every certificate issued, newest first. For each one:

  • The student’s name.
  • The verification code.
  • When it was issued.
  • A button to Move to alumni, which flips the person’s program row on the certified program to the Alumni stage. Per Michael’s decision on 2026-10-21, this is a separate step: an alumna of Dream Work stays active in DW even when she opens an Applicant row in Spiritual Direction, so the system doesn’t flip her automatically.

Every certificate has a public page at /certificate/<code> that anyone can open without signing in. It shows the name, the program, the cohort, and the issue date. If the code doesn’t exist, the page says so politely rather than exposing anything.

The office can share this URL with partners or employers who want to confirm a credential.
